What does a consultation involve? |
In general, we train onsite at your business or home.
We work on your computer, using your accounting files, with your data. This offers a huge advantage over classroom training as it is 100% relevant to you and your business. A consultation normally lasts between 2 to 3 hours, and, depending on your business set-up, a number of consultations may be required. |

What is a Reckon Accredited Consultant? |
There are approximately 500 Reckon Accredited Consultants in Australia.
This qualification requires the fulfilment of stringent testing and professional development requirements, and it must be renewed yearly. In addition, each consultant must attain both Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting. We are also compliant with the new BAS Service Provider legislation.
What is a BAS Service Provider? Accredited Consultants, as well as demonstrating expert knowledge, have access to a variety of resources not available to ordinary Reckon Accounts users. This means we can access information on even the most difficult questions and problems. |

How many consultations are needed? |
The number of consultations required will depend on a number of factors, including your current skill levels, the complexity of the business, and how quickly you pick things up.
As a general rule, a new business will take between 6-12 hours to get “up and running” – i.e. invoicing, recording expenditure correctly, accurate reporting and reconciling of accounts.
If you are an existing user, 1 -2 consultations can be really beneficial for streamlining your procedures, fine-tuning your accounting skills, or sorting out problem areas. |

Why has QuickBooks changed its name? |
In April 2013, QuickBooks was renamed Reckon Accounts.
This was due to the dissolution of a legal agreement between Reckon and the US company Intuit that distributes QuickBooks overseas.
This is the same popular product range under a new name. Reckon has been developing the QuickBooks range of products for the Australian and New Zealand markets for many years and will continue to do so. |
